At the end of the 90s Anne Marie, fed up with the music business, opens Millesimi. Located near Piazza Santo Spirito in Florence, Millesimi started as a wine shop aiming to provide true wine lovers with a more interesting and stimulating selection of bottles, helped by 200 square meters of underground cellars, and a temperature-controlled warehouse, to keep the bottles in perfect conditions.
France and Italy
Because of Anne Marie’s tastes and research, from early on the selection has been focusing on France and Italy, with a lot of attention given to Burgundy, Champagne, Piedmont and Montalcino.
Along the years, and thanks to the invaluable help of her trusted aide Giovanni Giogli, the business has expanded from local off-premises sales to international wine broking.
World wide merchants
In her 20 years long career, Anne Marie has bought and sold entire collections from private cellars and located and sold thousands of fine old wines and prized vintages. Most importantly, she has built direct relationships with Italian and French winemakers, and wine merchants from around the world. Ties that have been nurtured and solidified in time by Millesimi’s competence and trustworthiness.
